I want to personally share how much this program has blessed the families at the Martin K. Alloy Boys & Girls Club of Manassas and the broader community. During the event, there were about 710 kiddos who asked for a second pair of shoes, and we were able to honor those requests. We also had several members out due to illness, and when they returned, I made sure they were properly sized and able to select their shoes. Their parents expressed such heartfelt gratitude. In addition, after the event we were able to bless a local church with remaining pairs so they could distribute them to families in the community. The ripple effect of this program has been truly meaningful.

Safford Brown Subaru Manassas Teams Up to Support Local Community - Nate R
Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Manassas, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Safford Brown Subaru Manassas is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Safford Brown Subaru Manassas have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/16/2025, Safford Brown Subaru Manassas donated 204 coats to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, Manassas Branch. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.
Subaru Retailers Team Up to Support Hurricane Relief Efforts - Jess M
At Safford Brown Subaru Manassas, were always ready to step up and support our communities, especially in times of crisis. This commitment is at the heart of the Subaru Love Promise®. When Hurricanes Helene and Milton devastated the Eastern region, Subaru retailers like us immediately sprang into action. Alongside other Subaru retailers, Subaru of America, and local organizations, we assessed the most urgent needs in the affected areas. It quickly became clear that local food banks were struggling to keep up with the surge in demand as they worked to support people hit hardest by the storms. In response, we teamed up with 67 Subaru retailers across the region to launch a $400,000 match campaign to aid the hurricane relief efforts of Feeding America®. Safford Brown Subaru Manassas proudly contributed $2000 to this initiative. While the immediate impact of the storms fades from the headlines, many of our neighbors continue to face long-term challenges like food insecurity, water shortages, power outages, and limited access to essential services. Thanks to the collective generosity of Subaru retailers and the communities we serve, an additional $18,427 was raised. This brings the total impact to $418,427, or over 4,100,000 meals for those in need. "As one of the nation's largest disaster relief organizations, the Feeding America network of food banks and partner agencies is deeply rooted in communities across the country. Together, our partnership with trusted Subaru dealers has helped expedite emergency food assistance and supplies to people who need it most. We are immensely grateful," said Feeding America Chief Development Officer Casey Marsh.

Hello, my name is Debbie Colston. I am the Branch Director of the Martin K. Alloy Boys & Girls Club of Manassas. Initially, I received an email asking if I've ever heard of Operation Warm and that Safford Brown Subaru had selected us to be recipients of a coat/shoe or shoe/sock. I was delighted to hear the news. There was plenty of communication. We were given step-by-step instructions on what the expect. The staff of Safford Brown were great. The day of the event, the Safford Brown Team showed up with several boxes to setup in our gym to distribute to our club members. The children were excited with the many colors to chose from. We are so grateful for the support and hope to work with you all again in the near future.

Safford Brown Subaru is a WONDERFUL and DEDICATED supporter of the children in our community. Jennie Dean Elementary School hosted a March Madness, Mad About Reading, event this spring where students read books as a part of their language arts lessons, but then selected their favorites. Similar to NCAA March Madness elimination, students eliminated books until, on March 20th, only one remained for each grade level. Students came to our auditorium for the BIG REVEAL of the winner and then, most importantly, each student took a copy of their book HOME! The students challenged, the students cheered, and the students chose! Safford Brown Subaru was there every step of the way. From a generous donation for student books to being a part of the event's kickoff, to being the readers of the final books on the big day, our neighbors at Safford Brown Subaru were with us, hand in hand, as we celebrated our students' learning and our students' success! Safford Brown Subaru donated tires to Jennie Dean for our Ninja Warrior Unit in Physical Education. For this unit, the gym is transformed into an elaborate obstacle course. The students were so excited for the tire run obstacle and kept asking are these real tires??. Thank you for going above and beyond for the students of our Manassas community!

We are THRILLED to be partnered with the Safford Brown Subaru dealership in Manassas! Jennie Dean is organizing a March Madness event in which students will be read many books and they will be able to vote on their favorite. Once the winning book has been chosen, EVERY STUDENT at Jennie Dean Elementary School will be given a FREE BOOK! We try to have popcorn day every other month and we so appreciate the help from the dealership. Jennie Dean Elementary School held their first popcorn day of the year on Friday, September 22. We are thrilled to be partnered with Safford Brown Subaru Manassas again this year. The retailer sent over a representative that spent a few hours popping and bagging popcorn for our students. Popcorn day is always a successful fundraiser at school and it's always made better with our partners in the local community. We truly appreciate their continued support!
Safford Brown Subaru Manassas Helps Eagles Soar in Swimming - Maria H
With the support of our hometowns own Safford Brown Subaru Manassas, the Osbourn High School Swim Team had an amazing season. The Eagles sent four individual swimmers and the girls relay team to our Regionals Championship. Two of those swimmers advanced all the way to the State Championship, where they swam against the best high school swimmers in Virginia and finished among the top 10 in the state. One swimmer went on to break a 17-year-old school record in the Girls 50 Free, with an amazing time of 24.11 seconds. Those are the standout achievements that everyone hears about. The quieter, more lasting impact of a team such as ours, wouldnt be possible without the commitment to building strong communities from the team at Safford Brown Subaru Manassas. Osbourn High Schools 40 or so swimmers come from diverse backgrounds that reflect our community and have all levels of ability, from beginners to club swimmers who compete nationally. Safford Brown Subaru Manassas sponsorship helped support swimmers of all levels excel and reach their potential. In addition, Safford Brown Subaru Manassas touted its proud support of the swim team with an ad in the Osbourn High School Eyrie yearbook. The yearbook helps students from all backgrounds and skill levels develop their creativity in graphic design, writing, photography, etc., and build leadership and communications skills that will serve them throughout their lives as engaged members of their communities. For the past few years, the staff at Cougar Elementary School has greatly appreciated the support of Safford Brown Manassas. Through many GENEROUS donations, Safford Brown Manassas has purchased breakfasts, lunches, and gifts to honor and support our entire staff during various times of the school year. Most notably is their contribution to our Staff Bucket Filler of the Month program. Each year, Safford Brown Manassas has created a yearly plaque where we display the names of the selected winner. Each month, not only does Safford Brown Manassas create a name plate for the winner, but a thoughtful gift card is given to the staff member, as well. Some of our staff members have even erupted in tears of joy. The considerate work and care from Safford Brown Manassas towards our staff has truly been encouraging. We are abundantly thankful for the support of Safford Brown Manassas and we look forward to continuing this partnership in the future.
Subaru Supports the Arts at Manassas Ballet Theatre! - Dani M
As a non-profit organization, Manassas Ballet Theatre has grown to be one of the biggest ballet companies in Northern Virginia, and we wouldnt be able to be where we are without the support of our amazing partners and patrons like Safford Brown Subaru Manassas!!! Thanks to Subaru supporting our Annual 19th Ballet Ball Fundraiser event, we were able to reach this years goal and keep the Arts alive in our community and our international dancers dancing! Dancing is for everyone, and we are truly thankful to Subaru!

On Friday March 31, 2023 was another successful popcorn day for Jennie Dean Elementary. This one was made even better from the help we received from the wonderful folks that we partner with from Safford Brown Subaru Manassas. The dealership sent over some team members to help us pop and bag popcorn for our students! They happily spent a few hours in our cafeteria with many other parent volunteers. They helped to pop 860 bags of popcorn. This is a great fundraiser for our school and made even better with the help from our local community. The kids were thrilled with their popcorn and their enthusiasm to help us was heart warming. We at Jennie Dean are so honored and grateful to be partnered with such a wonderful, local business. Browns Platinum sponsor of our bicycle racing teams 2022 season helped us equip all our youth riders with jerseys at no cost to their families. Browns Manassas Subaru Helps Dreams Come True for Young Swimmers - Maria H
Browns Manassas Subaru has partnered with our Stonewall Park Swim Team (the Seawolves) to sponsor a swimmer for the last several summers. In summer 2022, they were generous enough to support two swimmers. And what a difference that made! One swimmer they sponsored is a teenage girl who has been with the team for a few years. With Browns support, she was able to have a brand-new team swimsuit for the first time ever. They also outfitted her with new goggles and other gear. You could see the pride she has in being a part of the team. New swimsuit or not, she is someone who gives it her all and challenges herself. As her coach put it, she swims only in the summer but challenges herself to the level of more experienced swimmers. Browns Manassas Subaru also helped new swimmers. We had many new Seapups (first-time swimmers) this summer. Our program not only taught them to swim, but to swim competitively. One sponsored swimmer progressed from not being able to swim at all in early June, to competing in a relay come late July. And winning their relay! Without the support of Browns Manassas Subaru, these children and others like them wouldnt be to excel to their full potential. Thank you, Browns Manassas Subaru, for bringing joy to our community and spreading love and kindness.

Brown's Manassas Subaru took blankets and art kits to the UVA Health Prince William Medical Center in Manassas, VA. The blankets will provide comfort for people undergoing cancer treatments and the art kits will be given to children who are undergoing treatment as well.
Jennie Dean Teacher Appreciation Luncheon - Pam M
Tuesday, May 3, 2022 was a GREAT day at Jennie Dean Elementary School. To kick off Deans Teacher appreciation week, Browns Manassas Subaru offered to treat our staff of 100 to a pizza party, we were thrilled! Lunch in an elementary school begins about 10:40 AM.and Browns Subaru kindly convinced a local establishment, Bella Vita Italian Restaurant, to start work at 8:00AM to make 33 pizzas to feed our staff. What a beautiful site to see the Brown Subaru Crew pushing 33 boxes of pizza down the hall at 10:35AM. Teachers and everyone on Deans staff appreciated this delicious pizza party. Extra care was given to ensure the variety of pizzas met everyones expectations. By 1:30PM, each staff member was happily full of delicious pizza and kindly grateful to Browns Manassas Subaru for recognizing their dedicated service. Thank you Browns, you continue to support our students. Deans dedication to children in the community is fueled by your generosity. You are a wonderful neighbor.
